Welcome

Welcome to the River Basin Management Plans Interactive Map.

You can navigate around the map using the toolbar at the top of the map and the pan buttons and zoom slider at the left hand side of the map. Hover over any button with your mouse pointer to see what it does.

Use the directional arrows on the left of the map to pan in the direction of the arrow. Use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons or the Slider to zoom in or out of the map. And you can use the Zoom to Extent buttons: click on the zoom in extent icon in the toolbar then hold the left mouse button down and draw a bounding box round the area of interest.

Tick or untick the boxes in the blue Table of Contents dropdown menu on the far left of the screen to display the desired information on the map. If a menu has a + next to it, click it to open a key to the colour scheme used or a submenu.

Note: to display target objectives make sure the current classification or a previous objective box is not ticked. For example if you want to display objectives for 2021 for rivers, the current objectives for rivers and the target objectives box for 2015 for rivers need to be un-ticked.

The Identify tool is marked with an

on the toolbar. Click it then click on any waterbody or protected area to get more information about it, including a link to the datasheet with full information.

Click on one of the search menu items in the blue Search By dropdown menu on the far left of the screen. You will be asked to enter information or select it from a list depending on the search you are doing.

Please select a Area Advisory Group from the list and click Zoom To.
